XFill deletes flight plan.

I seem to be having an issue with the FMC every time I attempt to cross-fill the flight plan information.

  1. I create a plan through SimBrief
  2. Electrical power up
  3. Load flight plan in FMC -- it populates.
  4. XFill to the FO's FMC
  5. Flight plan doesn't cross-fill and my plan is now deleted from the FMC.

At this point, the flight plan is in neither FMC and the option to reload it no longer functions. It shows that my plan exists in the nav folder, but will not allow me to load it.

I'm just wondering if I'm missing a step somewhere or there's a bug -- maybe a corruption where a re-install would fix it. I'm on the latest version of the software.

    Hi,

    I assume, you have triggered XFILL on the wrong FMC. You must trigger XFILL on the receiving FMC (and not the one containing the flightplan).

    That was it! I had a feeling it would be something incredibly simple that I was overlooking. Thanks for your help, aua668. I can now move on with life.
