Mouse control missing

I run the pro version of the Q400 under P3Dv4.5 and Windows 10. I have just returned to the Q400 after a long period with the NGXu and seem to have lost my mouse control of the Q400 buttons - if and only if I run the Control Panel (Weights & Balances). Otherwise everything seems to work normally.
1. Start the P3D and load my scenario (Q400 at ramp5 ESMQ)
2. Start the Control Panel and feed in passenger and fuel date, calculate and transfer result to the P3D
3. Note that my mouse can no longer manupulate the cockpit buttons and controls

Do you have a fix for this?
