Hi Frank, The only Flybe that I have is the Part B4 - Operations Manual - Volume 1. I have something from MALEV but it is not as ellaborate as Flybe and I believe you have that Flybe Manual ; if not I'll send you a link to download. I am the same, I was flying the Flybe, Autrian and Air Baltic routes and, unfortunately eitheir the Airlines or the Q400 disappeared. There is still LOT which has some interesting routes as the Polish airports have been well designed in P3D so I carry on flying the old routes. Have a nice day, JP

  • Yes, that's the one. Up to date. Transitions ARAME / DUPLI. So everything should be fine now.
  • The latest NAVDATA which expires 27-JAN-21 matches the latest Jeppesen chart (12-1) for CYWK effective 10 SEP 20 where the two transitions for Rwy 18 are ARAME / DUPLI. If there are no changes the Jeppesen charts are not updated every cycle and co…
  • @niksan29 Apparently the Flybe FMS is the same than ours and we can see that they use procedure RNP Y Rwy 08 with the same minima 7100': They are qualified to do the Special LOC DME East which does not need special equipment but a special autho…
  • The total Jeppesen document is 1435 pages. Here is the explanation for SID/STARs. JP
  • Hi, You are right but as it is only on few airports that we would need RNP AR APCH so it is quite allright. We have to use what we have and set the minima accordingly. Most of the Q400 operators have most probably the same specifications for thei…
  • Hi, NZQN very interesting and a bit similar to LOWI. Few points to note: See on the enclosed Jeppesen that the altitude is given for QN555 (2413') but not after as the minima is 2300' and they state that it is subject to special approval so we…
  • Hi, You have 2 transitions for RNP 22L: LGE1: LGE OLPUN GIKLI LIBVA LGE2: LGE IPLAN RERTI LIBVA If you arrive via LNO it would be advisable to take the transition LGE1 to avoid the sharp turn to OLPUN. However you could route direct from LNO…
  • Hi Simeon, As far as I am concerned I am not disppointed at all by the Q400 that you have made and I am a Majestic faithfull customer since day one and not flying anything else as a liner. I never flew the real Q400 but having quite a comprehe…
  • Hi FraPre and niksan 29, Again, like LOWI, an approach to EGLC is not very common and we should remember that the Majestic Q400 has been programmed with a certain Q400 using a particular UNS. Of course we can decide within the Sim to have our …
  • Hi, Without ATC you are right in choosing the LOST COM procedure. After MUS you do not follow LNAV/VNAV anymore. You are with the BLUE NEEDLES. If you were with ATC they were not going to ask you to be at FL120 at TIPIK and MUS at 5000' as…
  • To Hélico 55, There is a way to have it LNAV/RNAV all the way down to GIZOQ is to fly the MOPAR 8Z transition (Jeppesen chart 21-0B4). This procedure is used only at night but who cares with the sim.
  • Hi Niksan29, You are absolutely right and I forgot this discussion, stupid me. I understand this procedure is not possible with our FMS Maybe we'll get a full RNP one day. It is only on few airports, like LOWI, that we need to use this proc…
  • Sorry, I did not see FraPre comments when I posted.
  • Because FF27R is not a constraint. It is the start of the glide for the ILS. You should do it the way described if you want to do it as near as the real thing otherwise I do not think it would work and you are going to be disappointed by the resu…
  • If you set your VNAV MOPAR 11000 it would respect KOLIV 13000 and would level 11000 at MOPAR. Then you set GIZOQ 5000 and it would level 5000 by GIZOQ. To make sure to be perfectly stabilized in altitude and speed at GIZOQ, you can enter few Nm …
  • Constraints: KOLIV FL130 MOPAR FL110 GIZOQ 5000' After GIZOQ you are on the ILS Loc and you are going to intercept the glide at FF27R so to make it simple, after GIZOQ forget about LNAV/VNAV and follow the ILS (BLUE instead of PINK). Real l…
  • Your first constraint is KOLIV FL130, then MOPAR FL110. You set up your VNAV 11000 and your ALT (no need for ALT SEL) 11000. You'll need to be level by GIZOQ 5000' so you set VNAV 5000 and your ALT 5000 and also ALT SEL to make sure you level at 5…
  • Hi From EGLL to LFPG the arrival is always through BIBAX. So far, so good. The landing Rwy should be 27R BIBAX 9E that you are using is only for East landings. You should use BIBAX 9W. It is in theory used only by Jet planes but suitabl…
  • Hi, The first thing is to have your STAR right. Coming from EGLL you arrive BIBAX 9E which is correct but after you should select the correct transition: MOPAR 6E, not LORNI which is to be used only when you arrive from the North East or the E…
  • Hi Reinhard, I tried this device and never managed to have the trial version working (always a black screen). I tried on 2 different tablets and 3 telephones. I can say that Mark from Aviaworks has been very helpful and we exchanged 23 emails …
  • Hi, It took me quite a while to figure out what was the problem as you were not giving enough information. I understand you are going to KLIT where there are no STARs and ALMOW is the IAF for Rwy 18. VS 1600 Ft/mn is not a problem at a…
  • RL: Real Life or we can also say RW: Real World. On the RNP Y you have a vertical reference for each WP and also with the distance to the threshold so when going down in V/S you know for each reference point if you are OK, too high or too low. …
  • Hi FraPre, Thank you so much for your answer and the link. Landing Rwy 26 is quite OK with the LOC R Rwy 26 2250 Ft MDA even with the LOC DME EAST and the RNP E Rwy 26 with 3300 Ft MDA. For Rwy 08 it is a bit more complicated as the RNP Y g…
  • Hi, I got the Q400 since the beginning and even that I flew RW before it took me a long time to understand the logic, or should I say illogic, of that particular plane. Anyway I love her and I do not fly anything else. We all would like some …
  • Bonjour JF, Quite normal as the Loc is offset 2°. Regards, JP
  • It depends of the airline. Personnally I use flaps 15 if the LDA is more than 1800 m and flaps 35 if less than 1800 m because I use Flybe SOP. Disregard the wind which is not taken into account. Sometimes it is not the runway lenght that you …
  • As we said before SOP would differ from an operator to another. Qantas Link did not use Flaps 35: "At the time of the occurrences, QantasLink did not provide any landing configuration guidance or information additional to that provided by Bom…
  • OK, I'll make it simple: On the charts you have a distance and you take that distance as the landing distance: LDA. 2000 m or more Flaps 15. Less than 2000 Flaps 35. Do not take the wind into account for these calculations.
