Steering the Q400 on the ground

Hi all
I have always had to steer the Q400 on the ground by aileron control - which is weird of course. Is this because I have not set a tiller axis to something (e.g. rudder pedals) or do others do this too?

    further to this post.....I see there is now a tiller handle available. The Q400 is a perfect a/c to use this device. Can you advise whether this is likely when the product is developed in MSFS2020....thanks
