EFB in virtual Cockpit (P3d4.5)
Hi I recently purchased the EFB and am able to us it using my web browser. I am very pleased with it.
But when I try to open it in the virtual cockpit all I get is a black rectangle.
I would love to see it in the virtual cockpit also.
Thanks

I run P3D v4.5 as well and I discovered that, unfortunately, the EFB will not work in the virtual cockpit in P3D v4.5.
It works perfectly fine in the browser on your PC locally, and it will also work externally on a tablet/laptop ... but, sadly, it doesn't work in the virtual cockpit.
P3D uses a file called "panel.cfg" for each airplane to load panels in to their respective cockpits. When you install the EFB, the "panel.cfg" file for the Dash 8 is updated to add the details for the EFB. The update uses a line "HTML_FILE=" followed by the path details of the folder and the relevant file to load. However, it appears that this command was only introduced for P3D v5.0 (and higher). In other words, the "HTML_FILE=" command is not recognised or understood by P3D v4.5. Therefore, when you try to invoke the EFB, it goes to that spot in panel.cfg, sets the screen up ready from the commands it does understand (so you get the black rectangle window in readiness), and then it comes to the "HTML_FILE=" command which is doesn't recognise and, therefore, it simply ignores it.

Thank you for that explanation, I will continue with the browser
