Sounds When Minimised

Hi,
Whenever I minimise the FSX window or click on another window (for example a PDF reader) the aircraft sounds are still being heard through the speakers. This doesn't happen with other aircraft add-ons; when minimised FSX is quiet.
I have tried the Global Focus in the CPAN but the sounds are still there.
I have also tried setting and un-setting the Win7 compatibility mode (I am running Win 7 OS) but no change.

Any ideas please?

Due the digital signal processing for our sound processing used for the Q400 there is no work around as it is a custom sound system driven by direct X.

That's a shame but a minor point in an otherwise superb product.

The "Q" key will mute the sound of the Dash as well
