  • Running the installer with admin privileges might do the trick, or so I hear.
  • Alrighty then it's not looking relevant to me afterall but I do appreciate the reply, thanks.
  • If you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate if you could go into a little detail on the cause and solution of that DirectX issue as that might well be relevant to me.
  • Were the engine intake doors opened and the heaters operational?
  • @jpgmultimodal That's interesting, I hadn't second-guessed my settings in a long long time now because they've always worked just fine. Mind you that 15 units doesn't add up to much more than one needle width at least in my cockpit - maybe differe…
  • @Phunyun said: What I do use is Voicemeeter Potato as a software audio mixer where I set inputs on that as the default primary and communications devices (separate channels for regular stuff and comms, for example) so any programs producing sound…
  • As mentioned by airwolf, unless you trim the rudder a good amount to the right there is absolutely no keeping this thing on the runway. That's realistic. Both props spin the same direction and will create significant yaw. Here are the trim values th…
  • @Boss said: Thank you for the suggestion, however why would you need to calculate individual crossing altitudes ? If the FMS VNAV does not have information on the waypoints it overflies, it will calculate it's altitudes automatically …
  • Really good stuff, thank you very much for the explanations. Great to get that kind of insight and I'll incorporate that into my procedures. Many thanks all around.
  • Thanks for the input. So since ground bleed air is not modelled, we're left with a little make-believe here that we heated her up for the PAX, that's okay, just wanted to confirm. And I guess it makes sense what you say about startup and the APU.…

  • @Lucbaverey said: I have the same problem except my aircraft stops and the starts moving again and this happens during taxi and flight. I am running the Pro version of the Dash 8 in P3D 4.5 on Windows 10 version 1909. I have tried …
  • I have, I've tried all sorts of unholy combinations. The only thing that I can consistently replicate is that when the two outputs are the same, all sound will definitely be fine. It doesn't matter which particular output I choose, as long as it's t…
  • I wound up getting it as the sale was too good to pass and I'm glad I did, mainly because it's a neat thing to have but in my humble opinion it's worth far from the 40 to 50 bucks they ask for it full price. I can only speak for this particular fs2…
  • Meh, I did that way back when I first encountered this problem and support wasn't able to find a solution, their diagnosis was that it was probably a DirectSound issue within my Operating System, which I am inclined to agree with. It just can't be f…
  • I get my plans from SimBrief as well and export it to the correct format and that never happens to me - the FMS will not load the actual SID and STAR that are entered in the flightplan you "filed", you have to enter those manually. At least that's h…
  • Just bumping this because I've seen some similar threads pop up while I was gone, so by now it's clear I'm not the only one affected. The issue remains if outputs are split. If all audio is sent to the same output, sound stays. If I want headphon…
  • @helico55 said: why sometimes with RNAV arm app not appear in nav page in fms ? Let me mess around on a little test flight later. I think I know under which circumstances this happens but I don't wanna speculate publically.
  • Hey mate, all I can really add here is that my experience with CTDs has been somewhat opposite, albeit in FSX: Selecting the Q400 from the menu was a gamble with 1.02, on 1.02b it works without issues. I in fact now have it loaded as my standard …
  • @kroswynd said: 10 knots after Vr the aircraft will want to fly That actually puts it quite well I would say. Add to that some gusty winds to the nose and possibly Vspeeds that are off by a knot or two and it takes off on you with all th…
  • Thanks mate, that works! Took me some fiddling to get everything set up but I'm basically where I wanted to be now. A little edit of your LUA file also gives me a working toggle for the n/w. I'm happy!
  • May I just chime in to clarify that it mustn't be an actual axis but something like "Set Condition Lever Off" could also be a plain keybinding somewhere you should look for. I know FSX has these on the function keys somewhere, not sure about P3d.
  • @aua668 said: Hi, First of all: the bucks for the registered version of FSUIPC are more than worth the money. You get a lot of possibilities to implement interfacing. One idea, which came across my mind (but I am not sure, if it is …
  • Is this thread even public or am I talking to myself here?
  • Anyone with just a quick info on what variables can or can't be used for this? I would especially like the gust lock on a joystick button (or any button, for that matter, rather than having to click the thing). Is that a thing I can do without third…
  • I kinda feel you a little. I have come to just accept the fact that this is a very tail-heavy aircraft by nature and handle it accordingly. I tend to load it fairly nose-heavy and then on top of that also keep my T/O trim as far nose down as it'll l…
  • There's a PDF in your docs folder for the mjc-8 that's called "MaintenanceSystem" and cointains answers to all you're asking and more.
  • @FraPre said: My Dash was on fire after the FSX started, but I didn't do anything about it. I couldn't explain that either. Pretty sure that's just a thing that can happen when the default failures ini gets initialized, happened to me, to…
  • Bear in mind that if you smash it onto the runway and blow your tires, braking action will be very poor to nil. Even in that case, full reverse should stop you on literally any runway you could possibly think of landing on.
  • Okay, after long last, I have found a "fix" it seems. The audio dropout appears to not happen if both Q400 outputs are directed to the mapper. This will lead to headphone sounds playing on my speakers which isn't sweet, but at least it works this wa…
