Hi Frank, The only Flybe that I have is the Part B4 - Operations Manual - Volume 1. I have something from MALEV but it is not as ellaborate as Flybe and I believe you have that Flybe Manual ; if not I'll send you a link to download. I am the same, I was flying the Flybe, Autrian and Air Baltic routes and, unfortunately eitheir the Airlines or the Q400 disappeared. There is still LOT which has some interesting routes as the Polish airports have been well designed in P3D so I carry on flying the old routes. Have a nice day, JP

  • @helico55 Hi, I just did the CYYZ Rwy 5. Latest Jeppesen charts. Proceed as follows: Climb 3000 Ft RNAV Z Rwy05 On route to SELAP LNAV VNAV parameters entered Arm APP About 5 Nm before SELAP 2500 Ft entered VNAV armed Down on the p…
  • Few things: GA AFTEK then RONTA. HDG mode. 3000 Ft. OK Fine. RONTA is recommended 3000 Ft but if you are at 2000 Ft it would work. At 2000 Ft, your descent starts at KERPU. BEFORE KERPU you should have selected an altitude BELOW 2000 Ft otherwis…
  • @helico55 Hi, Yes you should enter a lower altitude than your present altitude (at least 500 Ft lower) to descend on VNAV and as FraPre said: have VNAV armed. If you encounter problems to descend on VNAV, use the LNAV and V/S. The minimum…
  • You are welcome.
  • Hi, Link is valid only up to the 13th July: https://www.grosfichiers.com/8JjJyutgPG9 Regards, JP
  • The main problem is: what instrument are we going to use to follow a true heading? If we would have a gyro compass it could help but it is a quite old technology. JP
  • I think you have to use inertial navigational equipment to do so. I am not sure about the FMS which could be unusable on very high latitudes. I do not think our Majestic Q400 could do that. As far as I remember we learned the basis of Grid Navigatio…
  • Hi, From time to time I get a similar problem. I have two set of controllers (pilot and copilot) but I disconnected the copilot controls as it was giving me troubles. My computer for Flihgt Sim P3dV4.5 does not run anything else. I do no…
  • Hi, @Jetairfly1 Very interesting to know that this feature exists on some real FMS. @FraPre The problem that we have with the Sim (not only with the MJC Q400) is that FSX and Prepar3dv4.5 consider all runways elevation as airport elevation whi…
  • Hi, One method is for Type I (High Speed Climb) as follows: The standard climb profile is IAS 210 to FL150 and 5° PITCH thereafter. All the climbs: Type I KIAS210 Up To FL150 KIAS200 At FL170 KIAS190 At FL190 KIAS180 AT FL210 KIAS170 A…
  • If you use ULUBA1 you'll be vectored from SLUGO to ULUBA or asked to do an ARCDME, then the procedure is VOR Z Rwy 10 (usual approach to TNCM). Say the PJM VOR does not work. From SLUGO Direct to AVAKI stable 2600' then you'll descend LNAV up to…
  • question from how many NM of IKDEB i must to begin get down flaps and gear down ? The enclosed is for NPA, usually NDB but it would give you a good idea how to work flaps and gear.
  • Hello Toppe, I watched carefully your video and I am amazed to see that everything is functional, even the temperature control, the spring loaded starter selector, the special video screen made to the exact size, etc. I do not have the clue ho…
  • As @FraPre said set the RNP to 0.30 instead of the 2.80. I am not sure if on our modelled Q400 it changes something but it is the procedure. You use DH for ILS (may be for the LPV as well but as we are not equipped yet so I don't know) and DA…
  • Hi, There are few hundred pages of tables regarding take off and landing distances which would take into account a lot of parameters that cannot be reproduced in FSX / P3D. Only the wind, altitude and weight can be taken into consideration with t…
  • Because I don't want always to calcul VS to descent to next constraint. Unfortunately you have to do a bit of calculations as the computer cannot replace the human brain. On your video we can see that you have a GS of about 340 Kt. We kno…
  • @FraPre you are absolutely right that it should be done in VS. Something else to note is that ATC knows the aircrafts performances and are never going to ask an aircraft to do something impossible. In doubt, ATC would ask you if you can do it, li…
  • I remember that we had a talk about it when we mentioned this small bug but, if I remember, our good friends from Majestic were rewriting all the programs for the PRO 64 bits and this would have been set aside. Do not forget that they are working on…
  • @ChuckO Could it be that the procedures in the US are a bit different than the procedures in Europe. I do not know as I never flew there as a pilot. Looking at the SID, apparently we do not go directly to RAYVE but are vectorized there: …
  • Hi, You are right, it is impossible to enter PAX as "0". It is not correct and we discussed that few years back. It was suggested then to enter directly the ZFW from the PLOG to the FMS, which works but if there is an error on the PLOG we cannot…
  • @FraPre sorry as well as I wrote the message and went to do something else and posted it in fact after you wrote yours but did not know. The main thing is that @helico55 can work it out.
  • It also works if there is no instrument approach at all as it is on many airports in Africa. So yes: 100%.
  • It is written on the chart : Landing West radar vectors prior to FIDEK. As we do not have radar vectors with the Sim (except online ATC) we have to do it ourselves. To follow (more or less) the radar vector procedure, I would say around 20 Nm befo…
  • Regarding the equipment aboard the Q400 you could say that 100% of the airports are accessible. Of course according that all the criteria such as lenght of rwy, altitude, temp, mass, weather, etc. are met.
  • @FraPre you duplicate your post but it does not take the meaning away. You are absolutely right and when I was flying we were landing about 99% (minimum) to the airports that we were going to even where the weather was (and is still) not always …
  • I got some explanations from RW Q400 users: French Fire Fighters. Their old Q400s have only LNAV and LNAV-VNAV Baro possibilities. The new Q400s that they are getting now are LPV 200 Ft CAT I equipped. Our Dash is not equipped (yet) with the late…
  • @lostrealist From Flybe: Trims.................................................................................................. Set Aileron neutral, Rudder-needle width right, Elevator according to CofG (within T/O band by at least half a need…
  • @niksan29 Absolutely right regarding the theory for the 50 Ft at the threshold. This is a rule that should be followed even in visual approaches and the Toff and Ldg calculations are done with this parameter in mind. However it appears that with …
  • It is that I understood as I used to fly there but now it is not used much more. Tempelhof was something as well. Gone but not forgotten.
  • @FraPre Very interesting approach to the different aircrafts using RNAV. As you mentioned, our Majestic Q400 has not the GP unless we activate the baro-VNAV so the results would not be as precise as a full VNAV RNP. With the sim we have to t…
