During descent/approach, when to set PROP RPM to max again? When to switch on AUX FUEL PUMPS?

I think the question says it all... at what altitude/point in the descent/approach should I set the PROP RPM to max again, when should I switch on AUX FUEL PUMPS?

  • Well I can only comment on the check list I use, for me I turn the fuel pumps on when doing the approach check list, generally just after passing the transition altitude. As for the condition leaves I move them to 1020 when approaching the ILS feather or at latest 4DME from threshold.

    I know others may have different processes, but for me and the VA I fly with this works for me.
