I just got p3d v5 and also just bought the majestic. I can only taxi when I go far past flight idle. In normal ground idle it goes really fast backwards. Is this normal or a p3d v5 compatibility issue

You are absolutely correct but, as Kroswynd explained, the problem is coming from the sim itself (FSX / P3D) and there is not much to do for Majectic to correct that.
