No breaking action

Hello,
in my mjc84 PRO I use the FDE engine. All axes are recognized correctly. (Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG joystick, throttle and T-pedals).
Only the brakes do not work.
Entries in the mj84.ini are:
J2_Z=FlightControls_->sensors.Rudder0_ADC
J2_Y=FlightControls_->sensors.BrakeL0_ADC
J2_X=FlightControls_->sensors.BrakeR1_ADC

Where is the error?

PS. The brakes can be included via FSUIPC though.

  •  Hello airwolf66,

    You are using the wrong variable for the right brake pedal.
    Try: FlightControls_->sensors.BrakeR0_ADC

    Yes, the brakes can be assigned through FSUIPC. Just make sure you do NOT use both the INI file, AND FSUIPC. Duplicate assignments can cause issues such as the brakes not working.

    Cheers, Jax

  • Hello Jax,
    thank you very much for your quick feedback.

    Unfortunately it was not the solution.
    In the control panel there is no action on Brake left and Brake right when the pedals are operated.
    FSUIPC and the axes in P3D are not engaged!

    Cheers, Reinhard

    Hi airwolf66,

    I have done a bit of testing on my sim, and am having the same issue as you.
    Yoke and rudder pedals work fine, but the toe brakes do not work.
    I have the Training edition of the Q400 and have tested using the ini file for 125hz,
    and also the new joystick connector utility (included with the training edition), with
    the same results. Brakes do not show any response in the Q400 control panel, or the sim. This could very well be a bug.

    I have always used FSUIPC for the toe brakes, and trim switches, as it has
    always worked beautifully.
    Maybe Kroswynd or one of the other forum members may have ideas.

    My sim, P3Dv4.5, Q400 Training ed. v1.025, Win 10 pro.

    cheers, Jax
