Note that you can personalize cabin announcements PER LIVERY by creating a subfolder in the livery's folder with the same file hierarchy that the default announcements.
You can record them using Wavepad, Audacity, probably even Windows Sound Recorder. But you must ensure the file is in same format; not just wav, but stereo/mono, same rate, same frequency etc otherwise it won't play. I believe they're 22khz, 16-bit, mono (most software defaults to 44 KHz which wouldn't play)
