WX Radar freezes sim

Hello. every time i turn on the WX the sim freezes and or crashes with no log about what's causing it. running on P3D 4.3 and W10

    Are you by any chance running sky force as your weather engine generator?

    Don't use it for weather but for cloud models

    Once I'm home I'll give it a try without skyforce and see.

    Tried without any wx and still freezes the sim. Anyway I'm doing a full windows install soon I'll see if i run into the same issues.

    A full install should not be required. Have look in your mjc84.ini at the beginning there should be a line WXAR=1. Change that to 0

    Ok. Will try that. Wouldn't that completely disable the wx radar?

    There are 2 switches for weather radar, one is for Active Sky and the other is for REX products which is still a work in progress.

    The "ini" folder which is located in you mjc8q400 folder will contain the following lines:?

    [INTERFACE]
    ; GENERAL SUPPORT OF THE INTERFACES
    JOYSTICK_INTERFACE =1
    ASN_INTERFACE=1
    WXAR_INTERFACE=0

    ASN_INTERFACE=1: enables the uses of Active Sky (if you use AS4 or AS Next then you need this enable

    WXAR_INTERFACE=0: Should be the switch that should be disabled (set to 0)
