FSX Gold and mjc-1.0.20b

32-bit Vista, 4Gb memory, had successfully installed Q400 Pro version (1.0.20b) and executed under FSX-Steam edition. Now that Steam is pulling the plug on Vista support, I uninstalled that, and installed FSX Gold. I started it up, flew a flight, then quit FSX. I installed Majestic Q400 Pro version without errors. FSX Version is 60905.0, every time I try to select a Q400 from the Free Flight screen (Fly Now) or even display the model (Details), FSX drops dead and I don't know why. If I remember correctly, FSX Gold should have included the SP1/SP2 automatically, but I'm not sure how to check this. What else should I look at?

  • I finally solved this, it turned out I was missing Acceleration, so I sourced that, installed/registered that, and now my Q400 works again.

  • Thanks for the heads up, I suspected that you may have already installed Acceleration, as it is required for the Q400 to work.
