Sound issue in P3DV4.2

Hello
cannot get any engine and cabin sound when inside the cokpit,
other avionics and cokpit sounds are ok (i.e buttons, clicks, warnings etc..)
although outside engine sound is very good
I have downloaded the last version 64 bits from simmarket today 12trh october 2018 and applied the hotfix 1.020a x 64
Everyhhing works perfectly fine apart from this sound issue which makes the flight totally unrealistic !!!
I tried to fix it with the control panel but there is no change. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the mjc professional twice with administrator rights etc... nothing changes
If someone has any idea about how to solve this issue ?

    Why P3D4.2? Latest version - for which the hotfix is designed - is P3D4.3

    It's a simple upgrade...

    What type of sound configuration are you using? Do you have a 5.1 sound system, if so then the sound panel can be used to distribute sounds to the required speakers? If you are not using a 5.1 system then it would be best to stick with a 2.1 config as most PC sound setups come by default that way.

    This may be a long shot but how many sound devices might you have on your PC. If more than one check to ensure that your sounds are assigned to the desired device.
