FMC issues during shared cockpit

Hello,

I did a shared cockpit flight after a long time. All procedures for setting it up were followed as per the manual, and when connected, the quality was full green. We did a few tests with the switches and altimeters, and all was found ok.

I was on the FO side. When we were setting up the flight, I could not see what the route was on the left FMC. When the full route was entered in the left fmc, all I could see was the DEP airport, and the first fix after that. I had to manually fill the route in the right fmc. All along the flight, when I was the PF, and and was inputting directs and other instructions from the ATC into the FMC, he could not get it either and vice versa.

Is it designed to be this way or did we somehow miss some steps along the way ?

P.S We both had updated Navdata, but I have a Navigraph sub, and he had an Aerosoft one.

    There seems to have been a de-synchronization issue, but also using two different AIRAC cycles will certainly cause an issue.
