In-Sim renders of Majestic Software Q400 for MSFS 2020 & 2024 [Jun 23rd 2025]

edited June 24 in ANNOUNCEMENTS!!

Fellow Sim Pilots,

A few weeks ago we posted some renders of the MJC Q400's progress, and we mentioned that when the In-Sim images were ready we'd post a few of them.

So, here is an update of early W-I-P of the MJC Q400 within the simulator. The model being displayed is not the final model and is being rebuilt but we are aggressively working on bring her to life.

As we progress we will be provide updates as we deem necessary.

Cheers

  • Looks great. Are you using your proprietary flight model engine or the msfs engine?
  • I would hope (and expect) the extrenal flight model as is in place for older FSX/P3D versions.

  • Is this build from the ground up for MSFS or some of it is being ported from P3D?

One of my most memorable purchases for P3D and eagerly awaited product for MSFS! I hope you're also able to bring on the fantastic shared-cockpit functionality.

  • so good to see the in-game pic, can't wait to take a flight on it!
I do wanna ask if it will be released on both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024?

The "plan" is for both platforms at this time.

We'll speak to that as we get deeper into the PRO + editions

This version of the Q400 is not being built from the ground up, but a lot of the systems have had to be redone. the modeling aspect will eventually get a complete re-work but very likely not for the initial release.

The majority of the systems/FDE model is dependent on the existing platform which the aircraft was developed in.

  • Can't wait! I really hope you implement the following, as it is brought up to MSFS2024 standards:

    • Remote CDU ability for use of FMS functions on iPads (I believe this was already the case on the P3D pro version)

    • Virtual cabin with wing flex (yes, it's present on the Q400 although subtle)

    • Improved external sounds (while the internal P3D sounds were perfect, the exterior sounds always seemed muffled)

    Many thanks!

Just to make sure, you guys do intend to rework or at least improve the cockpit texture and display resolution? Because it already wasn't too great in P3D. Also, what level will be the initial release? Akin to the Cockpit version or more in line with the PRO/TRAINING versions?
